Beer or Soap?
While out doing a little shopping on Saturday, I spied something that made me question and eventually change my planned evening. What was it that made me pause and reconsider my plan to drink massive ammounts of beer? Soap! The Soap in question was not the perfumed washing stuff that women can’t resist buying in infinite varieties, This Soap features the adventures of the Tates and the Campbells in one of my all time favorite American comedy shows. I hadn’t seen it for years, probably due the it being less than politically correct and therefore rarely repeated. The show ran for 4 series and I was able to purchase the first two as DVD boxed sets. Seasons 3 and 4 are not available yet.
So, instead of another session of beer and bullshit in the local bar, I sat and watched 14 episodes, one after the other. Holy cow! I haven’t laughed that much in ages and I feel much better for it.
I must stop typing now as there are another 34 episodes that I just have to watch!
