03/09/2003: "Liquid refreshment"

Beer - Woohoo! The only true alternative to water. It is a shame that it isn't any good for bathing and doing dishes etc.
Harder stuff - Yum! Vodka, Whiskey etc. make for a nice addition to ones beer drinking sessions. Last night however, we found a problem with doing shots of Jim Beam! Me and Tom were doing shots with Rosie to celebrate her promotion. The problem was that she is down in Baltimore and we are basking in the Wisconsin Winter, meaning that a telephone had to be used. We managed quite well but found it hard to ching the glasses together loud enough for her to hear without spilling the precious contents.
My question is: Does anybody make special shot glasses for long-distance drinking so that ones toasting could be more easily synchronised by telephone?

Coffee - Yuck! I have never understood the lure of the stuff. I dislike the smell of it. It tastes like woolabrawonga! I am so pleased that I am not a victim of coffee addiction. A large number of people in this country are hopeless addicts - my heart goes out to you!
Tea - ugh! This stuff doesn't smell quite as bad to me but still reminds me of composted material. Tea holds a large number of Britains in it's evil grasp. I'll admit that I did enjoy some Rosehip tea once, at Glastonbury Festival. I was somewhat intoxicated and the brew was being served by topless girls, quite an attraction to my younger self!
Soda. Some good and some bad. I am a Pepsi rather than a Coke person, probably due to Chris Bright's influence. Root beer is foul. Cherries are only good for throwing at people and should never be used to flavour drinks!
Juice - Mmmm! I like most of them but Cran-Apple is one of my favorites.
Water - Yeah Baby! I love water. Straight out of the tap (fawcet) suits me best. I have never understood paying all that much extra for the Yuppy stuff, especially Perrier which is disgusting tasting French shite!

Try being the one juggling a cellphone in a crowded bar! It is worth noting, however, that I did manage!

This site looks best using the latest version of Mozilla, Opera or Netscape for Windows or the latest Internet Explorer for the Mac. The higher your screen resolution is, the better it will look. For the time being, Internet Explorer for Windows is not a standards compliant browser and will not show these pages as designed. It will show all the content so if you are using IE for Win' you'll just be missing some nice layouts and effects. I refuse to have my designs limited by Microsoft who have anounced that there will be no future versions of their browser anyway! Do yourself a favor and move to a browser that shows the web as it is designed to be seen. Just say 'No!' to the beast that Gates built.
