03/24/2003: "Dive for cover, it's Politics!"

I got this in an email today and thought it interesting enough to put here in it's entirety:

After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six and injured 1,000; President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five U.S. military personnel; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 200 U.S. military personnel; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 1998 bombing of U.S. embassies in Africa, which killed 224 and injured 5,000; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 and injured 39 U.S. sailors; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.
Maybe if Clinton had kept his promise, an estimated 3,000 people in New York and Washington, D.C. that are now dead would be alive today.
And, now that Bush is taking action to bring these people to justice, we have opponents charging him with being a war monger...

AN INTERESTING QUESTION:
This question was raised on a Philly radio call-in show.
Without casting stones, it is a legitimate question.
There are two men, both extremely wealthy. One develops relatively cheap software and gives billions of dollars to charity. The other sponsors terrorism. That being the case, why was it that the Clinton Administration spent more money chasing down Bill Gates over the past eight years than Osama bin Laden?
THINK ABOUT IT!
It is a strange turn of events.
Hillary gets $8 Million for her forthcoming memoir.
Bill gets about $12 Million for his memoir yet to be written.
This from two people who have spent the past 8 years being unable to recall anything about past events while under oath!
Sincerely,
Cmdr Hamilton McWhorter
USN(ret)

P. S. Please forward this to as many people as you can!
We don't want this woman to even THINK of running for President.

I, too, questioned the validity of the source, so I looked him up on the Internet (he was a WWII flying ace) and sent him an email. Nothing back yet, but my fingers are crossed...

I fervently wish I could have all the phony e-letter bullshit currently being circulated around the internet by both parties tilled into my veggie garden. The tomatoes would be as big as the MOAB bomb.

These letters are invariably slanted toward other no-think stooges of like mind, since their message is always one-sided. Do the writers of such offal suppose that opposing thinkers would stand in slack-jawed wonderment at their message and therefore be converted?

Is this crap what he fought in WWII to be able to say? He could at least check the sources. Or maybe he is the source. Embarassing!

This is commentary is really getting out of whack. The NeoCons,
or should I say, the Republicanazis, are sending out a
lot of this junk. Let's grow up
and try to do what is in the best
interests of the country and its
people. This smear tactic is the
thing that sick minds seek to try
and generate the same outcome as
the Hitler gang did in WWII.

I am with you about the credited source. Thanks for your comment Misha.

Although I agree with the gist, I believe that the credit to "Cmdr Hamilton McWhorter" is totally bogus. It was added to an email I saw months ago, presumably to add "authenticity" to the letter. Another version of the letter includes details of Clinton's evasion of the draft. All interesting, but of questionable origin...

This site looks best using the latest version of Mozilla, Opera or Netscape for Windows or the latest Internet Explorer for the Mac. The higher your screen resolution is, the better it will look. For the time being, Internet Explorer for Windows is not a standards compliant browser and will not show these pages as designed. It will show all the content so if you are using IE for Win' you'll just be missing some nice layouts and effects. I refuse to have my designs limited by Microsoft who have anounced that there will be no future versions of their browser anyway! Do yourself a favor and move to a browser that shows the web as it is designed to be seen. Just say 'No!' to the beast that Gates built.
